Mohammed (Mehmet Ozalp)

Mohammed (Mehmet Ozalp) is an independent thinker and researcher who received his MA degree at Columbia University and MDiv from Union Theological Seminary-NY. 

Mohammed, as a Sufi Kurdish Muslim, focuses on psychology of oppressed, double-consciousness, intersections between science and religion in the post-modern world, American spirituality and Islam, and political theology. In his free time, he nerds out about languages, reading on mental health, and benefits from music as a coping mechanism. 

He is currently a staff chaplain at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
